The Angel Visited Mary

Today, Miss Mandy came into talk to the kids about when the angel came to visit Mary and Joseph before they had baby Jesus. She sang a couple of songs with the kids, read the bible story and showed us a special Christmas tree that has the people of the nativity as the ornaments. Miss Mandy does such a great job with the kids and they loved getting to hear the story of Mary and Joseph! She will be back on Dec. 20th to talk about Jesus being born and who came to visit him in the stable.

Rice Krispie Treats

Hello! We continued our baking week by making rice krispie treats! The kids got into three groups and worked as a team to measure out the marshmallows, butter and rice krispies! We shaped them into balls so that they were easier to eat! In order to shape the balls and have them not stick to our hands we had to but some butter on them in order to keep them from just sticking to our hands! The kids were pretty weirded out by it but then amazed at how well it worked to keep the sticky marshmallows off!! We added some food coloring and sprinkles to make them fun and give us another step to the recipe!!
