Pete the Cat

Today we watched the video for the book Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes. The kids really love Pete the Cat. We have listened to some other Pete books as well and they all ROCK!! Here is the link to the video.

For art today we made our own rocking school shoes! They are in the files to take home! We also had our first tornado drill. I warned the kids that it was going to happen about 30 mins before hand just to give them a heads up (also to remind myself!!) The kids did a great job of dropping what they were doing and walking quickly and quietly to our door and then to the women's bathroom. I reassured them that this was a drill and that we would have them once a month.
